Choosing software for 200 certificates a month

Independent desk-research sample · No customer order · No vendor account testing

Brief and provisional decision

A workshop operator needs recipient-list import, downloadable certificates, email delivery and verification links for 200 new recipients each month. That is 2,400 certificates and, by assumption, 2,400 unique recipients annually. Branding is optional.

Test SimpleCert first: its published Advanced allowance covers the monthly quantity and lists QR authentication. This is a conditional shortlist recommendation, not a claim that it is the cheapest or that every workflow requirement is proven. $29 × 12 = $348 in base subscription charges; taxes, optional templates and other extras are excluded.

If recipients repeat, recalculate the unique-person count before evaluating Accredible. If cloud upload is prohibited, stop: this report does not establish browser-only processing for any vendor.

SimpleCert

Observed: Advanced: $29/month, 250 credits/month; one credit creates one certificate. QR authentication is listed. Recipient-list upload and certificate email/download are described.

Fit — our assessment: First trial candidate for a steady 200 certificates/month. Base subscription arithmetic: $348 for 12 months, before taxes and extras.

Still to verify: Confirm CSV format, PDF export quality, unused monthly-credit treatment and branding. Extra graphical templates can cost $29 each.

Accredible

Observed: Launch starts at $45/month on a 12-month commitment, with 50 recipients initially included. Billing counts unique recipients per year; multiple credentials for that person share the allowance.

Fit — our assessment: Consider when the same people receive many credentials. The entry price does NOT price 2,400 unique recipients.

Still to verify: Obtain the actual recipient-tier and branding quote; monthly billing is not a month-to-month commitment.

Certifier

Observed: The FAQ states 250 free credentials/year. The pricing page lists mass issuing/delivery, PDF export and verifiable credentials.

Fit — our assessment: Suitable for a small workflow trial. The free allowance does not cover the assumed 2,400 annual credentials.

Still to verify: Confirm the selected annual volume and paid total. Extracted plan cards and comparison tables show inconsistent prices; no paid cost is asserted here.

Official pricing source

Certopus

Observed: The top free card lists 250 credentials, two events, bulk issuance and mass email. The extracted comparison table instead shows 50 credentials; paid values also differ between sections.

Fit — our assessment: Potential bulk-issuance candidate, pending confirmation of the current quota and volume-specific quote.

Still to verify: Resolve the free-quota discrepancy and select the 3,000 annual-volume tier for this scenario. Do not treat displayed entry prices as the 2,400-volume cost.

CertifyMe

Observed: StartUp lists verifiable QR codes, three templates and one admin. Signature adds domain/SMTP white-labeling and email customization. The reviewed page gives demo links rather than a numeric price.

Fit — our assessment: Consider if branded delivery is a must-have and a quote-based evaluation is acceptable.

Still to verify: Request price and quota for 2,400 credentials/year, and confirm CSV import and PDF delivery. No price estimate is invented.

Trial acceptance checklist

  1. Import ten synthetic recipients, including an accented name and a duplicate email. Confirm row-level handling.
  2. Generate and download PDFs; inspect names, layout and verification links.
  3. Send only to controlled test inboxes after permission; inspect deliverability and sender branding.
  4. Verify the final quota, renewal term, taxes, cancellation and export access in the selected quote.
  5. Review privacy terms and deletion controls before uploading customer information.

These checks are proposed, not performed. PDF format details, import schemas, delivery reliability and privacy suitability remain unverified. Dynamic page extraction can omit selected values and table icons. Unclear cells are not treated as confirmed support.
